Story
My birthday is coming up on September 3rd and, this year, I’ll actually be spending the night of my birthday sleeping in my car as part of the Live Like Her Challenge 2026 💗
Having spent almost a decade working across the finance, property and mortgage broking industries, and group events, supporting and empowering women has become a huge part of my life.
I’ve always been passionate about women feeling supported, financially confident and secure in their future - which is why this challenge really hits home for me.
For one night, everyone involved with the Live Like Her Challenge will sleep in their cars together in a safe space to raise awareness and funds for The Forgotten Women, helping more homeless women over 55 find a safe and secure place to call home.
Everyone deserves to live with dignity and age securely in place - and if spending my birthday, a little differently can help even one more woman do that, I’m all in.
So this year, if you’d usually buy me a birthday drink, flowers or a present please put it towards a donation instead 🫶
Don't forget every donation over $2 is tax deductible, and every dollar helps.
Thank you so much for getting behind me, Millennial Finance Group & Likeminded Women 💕
How many years have you taken part in LLHC
The Forgotten Women
The Forgotten Women is Mangrove Community Homes' flagship project, a unique, grassroots housing initiative dedicated to women over 55 experiencing homelessness - the fastest growing cohort in Australia today. The Forgotten Women's mission is simple: to put a safe roof over the heads of as many vulnerable older women as possible. Through the acquisition of suitable properties, the project provides secure, safe, affordable housing that enables older women to age in place with security, stability and dignity.
